Connected twin towers: Projects

2D Autocad drawings

2D Autocad drawings and 3D Revit drawings for two identical towers of 26 floors each, separated by a distance of 15 m and connected in several levels with the dispersion of several gardens where each tower is composed of:

• Three underground basement including parking areas.

• Two superposed blocks:

- The first block (ground floor and floors 1 to 7) will comprise:Two stories malls, 1630 square meter each.Four stories offices,1330 square meter each with 250 square meter connection. One story restaurants, 1330 square meter. One story gym and piscine,1330 square meter.

3D Revit drawings

- The second block (floors 8 to 27) will comprise:Story nine, 745 square meter each.14 stories hotel, 745 square meter each.Three technical floors at levels eight, 11 and 25.Two gardens at story 12 and at the roof, 2200 square meter each, connecting the two towers.

Structural study

Connected twin towers: Projects

ETABS modeling

ETABS modeling for the two identical towers of 26 floors each, separated by a distance of 15 m and connected in several levels.
•The study included a single tower without connections and two towers connected under static and dynamic forces:
- Self weight
- Super imposed dead loads
- Live loads
- Wind load
- Seismic loads using two concepts:
.Static load
.Spectrums
•ETABS could be also linked to several software (S-Concrete, safe, Sap2000, ...).
•A conclusion was deduced on the effect of connections on the behavior of the tower under dynamic loads.

Structural elements

Structural study for the two towers connected under static and dynamic forces using ETABS.
• The study of various RC structural components of the two connected buildings
- corbels
- shear walls
- slabs
- raft with piles
- stairs
- retaining wall
• The study of the towers linking structure (metal construction)
- steel bridges connecting the towers
- inclined columns supporting bridges
All structural studies have been made according to the American ACI code and using several software (ETABS , S-Concrete, safe, Plaxis, Allpile, Sap2000, ...).
